Having completely revamped a collectively outdated Yoga model The Body Art Barn’s 2019/2020 Living The Art of Yoga Teacher Training plans to be the pioneer of a very healing, nourishing, and extremely unique learning experience that will deliver a more grounded, holistic approach to receiving and transferring the sacred wisdom of Yoga. As part of the newly improved syllabus, The Body Art Barn’s 200 hour training will include individualized somatic and energy healing sessions from Master of Chinese Medicine and Accupuncture, Pipper Armel. *Waldorf is a humanistic approach to the discipline that deals with the theory and practice of how best to teach. It is based on the educational philosophy of the Australian philosopher Rudolf Steiner and emphasizes the role of imagination in learning, striving to integrate holistically the intellectual, practical, and artistic development of the students. The overarching goal of this form of education it to develop free, morally responsible, and integrated individuals equipped with a high degree of social competence. The focus is always on developing creative expression and empathetic understanding.
Adhering closely to a strict code of ethics established at The Body Art Barn , Michelle Dawson has formatted an inclusive program that borrows from Steiner pedagogy. Believing that the path to teach Yoga is inspired by the pursuit to learn Yoga, Michelle Dawson’s program is one that launches the student directly into the experience of Yoga. Upon completion of the training, each practitioner will cast into existence, their own unique articulation of Yoga.
